It’s the time of the year again when everyone is invited to celebrate art, food, music, and the summer.

The annual Harmony Arts Festival is back, offering 10 days of excitement and countless opportunities for cultural experiences in West Vancouver.

This year, the festival will take place Aug. 1-10. West Vancouver will be lit up with experiences offered for people of all ages, including free concerts, culinary events, art markets, exhibitions and children’s programming.

There will be a visual arts hub at John Lawson Park where you can find the Harmony Group Exhibition, a juried gallery consisting of works from 80 local artists in various mediums.

For the Love of Art will display youth artwork outdoors, and Artsy Kids will offer drop-in workshops to encourage kids to be creative and share their work. And there will also be the Indigenous Artists and Carvers Studio, where people can view the work of the Sḵwx̱wú7mesh Úxwumixw (Squamish Nation) artist Xwalacktun.

Expect to jam out to some good music at the Harmony Arts Festival, too. There will be free live concerts performed daily at the Beedie West Stage and the RE/MAX Garden Stage at Millenium Park. Dinner concerts will take place at 5:30 p.m., and headline performances will begin at 7 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.

Stay refreshed with cool drinks at the festival while at the Park Royal Beachside Patio in Millenium Park, and check out the countless food trucks offering delicious dining from global cuisines.

Those looking for a special culinary experience should check out the Best of the West food and wine event, which will take place on Aug. 6, at the Ambleside Pier. This event is a festival favourite, as it provides guests with flavourful pairings of food and drink from local restaurants and wineries. Tickets for this appetizing event can be purchased online.

Anyone that loves to shop won’t be left out at this festival. The Art Market will be bustling with artists and vendors on Argyle Avenue. There, several products can be purchased, including ceramics, glass, jewelry, paintings, textiles, and woodcraft.

Those who roll out of bed late can still make it for the Bespoke Night Market, which is on from Aug. 5 to Aug. 7, 3 to 9 p.m.
