Former North Vancouver resident Brandi Disterheft, a Handsworth secondary grad now based in New York, is nominated for a 2014 Juno Award for Contemporary Jazz Album of the Year for her album Gratitude. The awards, which celebrate the best in Canadian music, will be broadcast live from Winnipeg’s MTS Centre on Sunday, March 30 on CTV.
