Table Matters Network issues challenge to reduce waste, save money and conserve resources

Other than water, vodka is perhaps the only popular consumable that achieves greater adulation as it becomes increasingly devoid of flavour. It’s hard to imagine any other food or beverage item proudly owning this characteristic.

I was in the kitchen, up to my elbows baking cookies. I went to the fridge for the milk and discovered the jug was almost empty. Darn, here I was with dough in the bowl ready to move forward and I was a mess, in no condition to head out to any store.

What happened to all the water? A familiar question these days as the Greater Vancouver Water District raised water restrictions to Stage 3 on July 20. Suffice to say, the lawn cannot be watered and will go brown.
