Search for Vancouver's Outstanding Senior Volunteer: To raise awareness and commend outstanding senior volunteers, Vancouver Home Instead Senior Care is sponsoring the 2013 Salute to Senior Service award program and requests the public's help in identifying deserving seniors. SilverLife: A free seniors' health and wellness expo will take place Saturday, March 23, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Delbrook Community Centre, 600 West Queens Rd., North Vancouver. The morning session's theme will be Breakfast, Bling and Beauty and in the afternoon it will be Tea, Tours and Fun. Family Caregiver Network Groups meet the first Thursday, 7-9 p.m. or second Wednesday of the month, 10: 30 a.m.-12: 30 p.m. at North Shore Community Resources in Capilano Mall, 203-935 Marine Dr., North Vancouver. VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES

Call for Volunteers: The Edible Garden Project is looking for seniors to mentor and work with young daycare children to create inter-generational gardens. Volunteers Needed: The North Vancouver Chapter of CARP - A New Vision of Aging for Canada is looking for volunteers for the executive board. CARP is a national, non-profit, non-partisan organization whose mandate is to promote and protect the interests, rights and quality of life for Canadians as they age.
