THREE North Shore houses will be featured in the Greater Vancouver Home Builders' Association's 20th annual Parade of Renovated Homes.
The local residences are among 11 professionally renovated homes in Metro Vancouver that will be open to the public on Sunday, June 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Produced by the GVHBA Renovation Council and sponsored by FortisBC, the parade offers people the chance to see homes transformed by professional contractors.
At 4518 Mountain Hwy. in North Vancouver, Shakespeare Homes and Renovations turned a plain, sagging creekside house into an 1800s-style home featuring hand-cut granite stonework, double-exposed shingle siding, and heritage cabinetry and millwork throughout.
AMA Total Renovation upgraded a newly purchased home at 4839 Caulfeild Court, West Vancouver, with custom-made solid wood stairs, engineered hardwood throughout, and a redesigned kitchen and bathrooms. And at 910 Sherwood Lane, West Vancouver, CCI Renovations opened up a classic 1960s post-and-beam home with a partial second floor, extended entry and deck space.
Also featured on the tour are a Tuscan-style makeover, a condominium reno with 360-degree city views and a luxury townhome remodel.
GVHBA CEO Bob de Wit said Metro Vancouver homeowners will spend $3.8 billion sprucing up their homes this year, and this one-day event offers the public an opportunity to see what's possible.
Admission is by passport, available at each home for $10 per person. Passports can be purchased at any home, and used for entry to the remaining homes. Visit gvhba. org for a full list of participating homes, including project descriptions and before-and-after photos.
