Communications: Mature, patient volunteers with good verbal communication skills and good computer skills are needed. Responsibilities include answering phones and assisting walk-in clients by providing information and referrals. Shifts available are Thursday and Friday mornings for two to four hours. Training provided.

Senior peer support volunteer: North Shore Neighbourhood House is looking for volunteers to provide emotional support for seniors and guide them through changes and challenges. Previous experience in people-related services would be an asset.

Music program volunteer: North Shore Salvation Army is looking for volunteers for its music program. This position requires a strong knowledge of music in order to teach an instrument, sing with seniors or provide peer support. Volunteers are also needed at a onceamonth coffee house, which is part of the music program.

Summer program volunteer: Stanley Park Ecology Society is offering an opportunity for youth aged 14-20 to earn volunteer hours throughout the summer months. Volunteers will work in teams to remove targeted invasive species from selected areas of the park. Volunteers also speak with the public about ecology and invasive species.

Day camp volunteers: Enthusiastic and creative volunteers are needed to work with children in a dynamic environment. Volunteers help plan and provide quality children's programs such as theme days, canoeing and horseback riding.
