I am always looking for new ways to wrap a gift.
I love how people can be especially creative when they take the time to put some thought into the wrapping. Sometimes it's the simplest ideas that are the best.
Here is a gift-wrap idea for a birthday, anniversary or perhaps another upcoming event you may have.
Remember to use a brightly coloured paper to really make the label pop.
Materials:
Martha Stewart's Chalk
Labels (available at Michaels Crafts)
Brightly coloured wrapping paper
Tape and scissors
White Chalk
Ribbon (optional)
Choose a box that is large enough to accommodate the label. Wrap the gift in the wrapping paper and set aside. Remove one of the labels from the package and carefully line it up on the topside of the gift so it is centred. Write the name of the recipient on the label.
You can also use these labels for mason jars filled with pantry items. Fill your assorted jars with your food items and place a label on one side on the jar. Write the name of the contents on the label with chalk and display on your shelf. The label name may be changed over time with a simple damp cloth.
Another cute wrapping idea is to use wide, sinamay ribbon over tissue paper.
This straw-like ribbon can be found at craft stores and is wonderful over gifts. Wrap your gift in a corresponding tissue paper first then cover with the ribbon and tie a large bow on top. The ribbon naturally curls at the top and is very pretty.
