RESIDENTS are invited to spend the weekend with artists and musicians in some of the North Shore's most beautiful private gardens.
The North Vancouver Community Arts Council presents the 14th annual Art in the Garden tour this coming Saturday and Sunday, May 25-26, from noon to 5 p.m.
The self-guided tour includes 16 gardens, some of which are previous award winners, as well as the artwork of 36 artists and the music of 20 performers.
Each garden will host two or more visual artists and have a two-hour musical performance each day.
The featured gardens have been created by professional designers, master gardeners and passionate weekend gardeners, and include exotic plants, edible gardens, perennials and climbers, espaliered fruit trees, bonsai and unique palms.
Adult admission is $1 per garden. Pick up a free tour map at CityScape Community Art Space, 335 Lonsdale Ave. Maps are also available at North Vancouver District Libraries, West Vancouver Memorial Library, Maple Leaf Garden Centre (North and West Vancouver), Creative Bricks 'n Blocks (North Vancouver) and Dykhof Nurseries and Florists (North Vancouver).
