This year take your holiday decorating to new levels with some easy and dramatic decorating ideas.

No matter what your holiday decorating style is, you can create beautiful table settings and hostess gifts with just a little planning.

Embody the magic of the season with miniature, rosemary wreaths at each place setting. Or create a winter wonderland inside a small Mason jar as a hostess gift.

It doesn’t matter if you choose to incorporate natural elements in your holiday décor, or choose to go the more traditional route. Get into the holiday spirit with these easy-to-assemble ideas.

Miniature rosemary wreaths
I love this idea because many of us still have rosemary plants on our decks. A simple, long sprig of rosemary is transformed into a miniature wreath by bending it into a circle and fastening it with some floral wire. Add a small bow made from garden twine and place it on your white tableware with a white cloth napkin. It’s simple but very effective. These make wonderful napkin rings as well.

Mason jar winter wonderland
Save your small Mason jars for this idea. Be sure to clean them out well and add some artificial snow in the bottom. Place some miniature trees or a small car inside the jar and place the lid on top. Tie the lid with some colourful twine and add a jingle bell. These make wonderful hostess gifts.

Pine boughs in clear bottles
Add a Scandinavian touch to your holiday décor this year with this very chic idea. Purchase a fresh pine bough from your local nursery and set it aside. Remove the labels from any clear bottles you may have and clean the bottle thoroughly. Insert the bough inside the bottle and add some fresh water. Add a white, tapered candle to the top of the bottle and tie off with some raffia. Line up the various shapes and sizes of bottles along a console table or mantle and light the candles.

White lights and logs
Are you looking for a festive way to brighten up your fireplace setting this year? Here’s a very simple but beautiful idea to add a warm, ambience to a TV sitting area or living room. A plain wicker basket or large tin bucket is filled with real pieces of cut firewood. Add some large pinecones and evergreens and then interlace some white mini lights throughout the greens and logs. Plug the cord into a nearby outlet.
