A Deep Cove resident who developed the widely popular cheese substitute Daiya is now rolling in cheddar, after the company announced this week it’s being bought by a Japanese pharmaceutical company for $405 million.

If the best things come in small packages then Timmy certainly fits the bill. July 7 was no ordinary day for residents at Kiwanis Care Centre in the Seymour area. There had been buzz about Timmy’s visit for weeks and the seniors were getting excited.

Ten-year-old Anais Doyle participates in a free session of Art Without Limits on July 24 at the West Vancouver Community Centre. The program is offered by the Cerebral Palsy Association of B.C. to children and youth with disabilities.
