Chelsea Tekonomy and Brent Honey of Canlan Ice Sports North Shore stand with food that was collected this past holiday season for the Greater Vancouver Food Bank from the Fill the Net for Hunger campaign.

Royal Canadian Marine Search and Rescue Station 1 received a $40,000 community gaming grant from the B.C. government. The cheque was recently presented to the station by West Vancouver-Sea to Sky MLA Jordan Sturdy.

Carson Graham Secondary Grade 10 students Bethanea Chou, Dana Winkler, Etanda Elliott and Kaia Crozier have created works of art, including Chou’s “Slice of Life” pieces (pictured), on display at North Vancouver City Library until Jan 27.
