Hollyburn Elementary principal Jody Billingsley and West Vancouver District Coun. Nora Gambioli flank members of the West Vancouver chapter of the Canadian Federation of University Women as they celebrate 61 years of supporting women's education on the North Shore.
The event was held from 2:20 to 3:15 p.m. last week and was followed by refreshments and a choir performance by Hollyburn students in Grades 6 and 7.
Last year, a maple tree and plaque were installed on the school's courtyard commemorating the chapter's 60th anniversary of supporting women's education in West Vancouver.
