Handsworth Secondary's first-ever Wellness Week appears to have been a hopping success.
From Jan. 22 to 29, students and staff at the North Vancouver high school have been devoting a little more time to self-care and self-awareness when it comes to individual well-being.
A series of events, from Indigenous perspectives on wellness and yoga workshops, to slam poetry performances on body positivity and a bunny café designed to let students feel the calming effects of connecting with animals, were held throughout the week.
A Jack.org keynote speaker kicked off the week with a school presentation on mental health awareness.
