On behalf of the Tsleil-Waututh Child and Family Development Centre, manager Tanya O’Neill accepts a 2014 Child Care Award of Excellence in the Innovation category from MLA Jane Thornthwaite. The awards recognize the exceptional contributions made by 15 early childhood educators, licensed family child-care providers, organizations and local governments throughout B.C. In addition, 43 licensed child care facilities also received a Child Care Legacy Award in recognition of more than 40 years of service. North Shore recipients included Lonsdale Creek Daycare Centre and West Vancouver Child Development Centre.
