Alastair Campbell and Karen Koroluk help clean up litter around Mount Seymour Parkway on Sunday as part of an event organized by volunteers. The District of North Vancouver provided bags, gloves, needle containers, pickup sticks, and trucks to collect the bags.
Superstore provided two gift cards as prizes for the most unusual items collected. About 34 volunteers participated in the event, including 20 local army cadets. More than 750 pounds of litter was collected.
