Pink Shirt Day on the North Shore

Friendship Circles: In support of Pink Shirt Day, the West Vancouver Child and Family Hub will host Friendship Circles for young children on Wednesday, Feb. 29, at the West Vancouver Community Centre, 2121 Marine Drive.

Friendship Circles: In support of Pink Shirt Day, the West Vancouver Child and Family Hub will host Friendship Circles for young children on Wednesday, Feb. 29, at the West Vancouver Community Centre, 2121 Marine Drive. The event will feature stories, songs, and games focusing on friendship. The North Shore Child Care Resource and Referral's Wheels program, a mobile resource service for families with young children, and a community health nurse will be on hand to answer questions about social-emotional development in young children. Pink Shirts: London Dugs is selling Pink Shirt Day shirts for $9.80. Net proceeds from the sale of the shirts support Boys and Girls clubs across Western Canada.

Proclamation: City of North Vancouver Mayor Darrell Mussatto will be issuing a Pink Shirt Day proclamation at council on Monday, February 27, and he has taped a Pink Shirt Day video message, which will be posted on the City's website and Facebook page that week. Staff at the City of North Vancouver also planned to participate in their annual pink shirt staff photo.
