Ridgeway elementary students and staff came together on Feb. 28 after a day of activities to create a giant heart as a symbol of their commitment to love, respect and being kind to everyone. Pink Shirt Day activities included cut-outs of pink shirts honouring kind acts around the school, thank-you notes to others which were read over the announcements, discussions and activities about gender diversity, an assembly focused on gender stereotyping and a flash mob dance.
