Kristi Turner and Nicole Mofrad, with their four-legged friends Marley and Humphrey, are holding a community event Dec. 15, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Kings Mill Walk Park (behind the Northshore Auto Mall) where they will be collecting donations of food, blankets, toys and cash for the animals of low-income and homeless people on the North Shore and Downtown Eastside. Donated items will be delivered to the SPCA’s Charlie’s Food Bank and homeless shelters that house pets.
