The snow may have settled down by the time the afternoon rolled around, but with up to 10 centimetres expected to have fallen on the North Shore today residents did plenty to make the most of their Saturday snow days.

And it looks like even more snow may be in the forecast for the rest of the Family Day long weekend.

The District of North Vancouver, City of North Vancouver, and District of West Vancouver issued messages on social media advising motorists to drive safely while outlining their snow clearing priorities, which generally started with clearing major streets and bus routes followed by collector streets and local roads.

Meanwhile, folk in North Vancouver and West Vancouver walked their happy pooches, shovelled their sidewalks, and experienced a welcome distraction from the pandemic blues.
