Guests to Cypress Mountain ski resort take in a fireworks display New Year’s Eve near the foot of the Mount Strachan trail. The free event, geared for people that were skiing or snowboarding that afternoon and evening, was a family-friendly spectacle that included fire pits in the plaza with s’mores, hot chocolate and bongo drums, in addition to the 8 p.m. fireworks show.
