The District of North Vancouver Firefighters Charitable Society are set to host the 2018 Charity Fishing Derby Friday, Sept. 21.
The annual event has raised $100,000 over the past six years, donating half the cash to the Seymour Salmonid Society and the other half to Athletics for Kids.
The event includes a barbecue, t-shirt, prizes for biggest salmon, a raffle, silent auction, and free boat launch at Lions Gate Marina. All participants must have a fishing licence.
Tickets are $100 and limited to 150 tickets. To take part, visit Highwater Tackle at 201 Lonsdale Ave. in North Vancouver or email [email protected] by Wednesday, Sept. 19.
