North Vancouver School District and CUPE Local 389 hosted an emergency preparedness event May 8 at Sutherland Secondary. Workshops focused on emergency response roles for staff and included fire extinguisher training, search and rescue, information about students with disabilities, and more.
Training was provided by North Shore Schools Emergency Planning Consultant Bernadette Woit, North Vancouver City Fire Department, and Disability Alliance BC.
