BCAA's Great Battery Roundup: In support of Environment Week in Canada, the British Columbia Automobile Association will collect used automotive batteries until June 19 and arrange for them to be properly recycled.

BCAA's Great Battery Roundup: In support of Environment Week in Canada, the British Columbia Automobile Association will collect used automotive batteries until June 19 and arrange for them to be properly recycled. Batteries can be dropped off at any Fountain Tire location throughout the province. UBC Law Students' Legal Advice Program: Low income individuals can seek free legal advice at clinics at the North Shore Neighbourhood House, 225 East Second St., North Vancouver. It will be open Tuesdays and Fridays, 10 a.m.-noon and 1-4 p.m. and Wednesdays, 2-5 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. until Aug. 17. To book an appointment call 604-822-5791.

Learn to Fish Program: The Freshwater Fisheries Society of B.C. will offer classes for families every Sunday (excluding July 1) until Aug. 19 from 10 a.m. to noon at Rice Lake in the Lower Seymour Conservation Reserve, North Vancouver. Philippine Days Festival: An exposition of Philippine arts and culture will take place June 10, 10 a.m.-6 p.m. at Waterfront Park, North Vancouver.
