Big Book Sale Fundraiser: The Friends of the North Vancouver District Public Library will host a sale on Oct. 21, 10 a.m.-7 p.m., Oct. 22, 10 a.m.-4 p.m. and Oct. 23 noon-4 p.m. at

Lynn Valley library, 1277 Lynn Valley Rd., North Vancouver. Books and audio visual materials prices range from 50 cents to $2. On Sunday everything is half price and a bag of books can be bought for $3 or a box for $6. Sale proceeds will provide book prizes for children's reading programs.

Getting to Know Your Neighbours and Your Neighbourhood: Have fun while connecting with fellow Lower Lonsdale residents Saturday, Oct. 22, 1-4 p.m. at Quayside Village Co-housing, 510 Chesterfield Ave., North Vancouver. Pumpkin Patch Fun: Cypress Park school will hold a fall celebration Saturday, Oct. 22, noon-4 p.m. at 4355 Marine Dr., West Vancouver. Admission: $20 per family which includes two pumpkins, pony rides, bouncy castle and face painting. There will also be carnival games, a bake sale, food, cupcake decorating and more.
