Canadian Federation of University Women - North Vancouver: Sister Marie Zarowny will be the guest speaker at the club's meeting Thursday, Feb. 9, 7 p.m. at the Royal Canadian Legion, 123 West 15th St., North Vancouver. Zarowny, a longtime teacher of First Nations, helped develop the Residential Schools Settlement Agreement, the formal apology of the Canadian government and Canada's Truth and Reconciliation Process. Ambleside Streetscape Project: Everyone is welcome to attend the first public meeting Thursday, Feb. 9, 6-8: 30 p.m. at West Vancouver Memorial Library, 1950 Marine Dr. The public will be consulted on a variety of streetscape elements in Ambleside, such as sidewalk paving materials, street furniture, special events infrastructure requirements, street trees, boulevard plants, pedestrian crossings and potential locations for public art.
