Author Reading: The second instalment of North Vancouver City Library's local author series will take place Wednesday, Dec. 14, doors open at 6: 30 p.m. for refreshments and the program begins at 7 p.m. at 120 West 14th St. Andrea Winterbottom and Ed Griffin will read from their respective books on teaching creative writing to prisoners followed by a question and answer period. How to Use Library Ebooks: A presentation covering the key points for setting up, searching and checking out e-books from the library's downloadable collection Thursday, Dec. 15, 7-8: 30 p.m. at the North Vancouver City Library, 120 West 14th St. Participants will leave with practical information and useful links to online e-reading support pages. The Lions Libby Lodge will hold a fundraiser Friday, Dec. 16, 7-9 p.m. at Larson Station Restaurant, 6190 Marine Dr., West Vancouver. There will be live music by Dave Ivaz and friends, an auction/raffle and food and beverage sales. Funds raised will go towards new exercise equipment for active seniors.
