WEST Vancouver native Shannen O'Brian, the founder of Vancouverbased social enterprise Karma Exchange, recently received an email on behalf of Sir Richard Branson.

According to a written statement, the email detailed his interest in seeing O'Brian enter his latest contest, Screw Business as Usual, spearheaded by the entrepreneur's Virgin Unite charity. With Karma Exchange, O'Brian works to harness the

power of the consumer with a view to funding water projects and girls' education in Northern Ghana.

O'Brian's video entry can be found on the Screw Business as Usual website. Her entry has garnered enough likes to put her within reach of the Top 10. Community members are encouraged to like the video by March 31, via the contest website, virginunite.screwbusinessasusual.com, to help her get one step closer to winning.
