Internationally renowned artist Gu Xiong helps Alison White and Jane Appleby make clay pigs at a free workshop held at the Gordon Smith Gallery of Canadian Art. The sculptures will be incorporated into an upcoming exhibit at the gallery as a part of Xiong’s new HuangPu River installation piece. They represent the 16,000 pig carcasses that were found floating in the river in China last spring. The next clay workshop is March 1 from 1-3 p.m. Call 604-998-8563 to register.
