This is likely your last weekend to relive the setting of so many of your first dates, afternoon matinees, popcorn-laden shenanigans, and that time you queued up for the Star Wars prequels only to be painfully disappointed. North Vancouver’s Esplanade Cineplex is closing next week. The six-screen theatre had been in business under various operators since 1990, and is closing just as Cineplex’s new Park Royal location is set to open next week. Visit the Cineplex website to see what’s playing at the Lower Lonsdale theatre this weekend, one last time.
