Burnaby's Darleen Bissonette is $100,000 richer after a BCLC lotto scratch and win.

Darleen Bissonette has big plans after winning $100,000 on a scratch-and-win ticket.

After playing BCLC's Fish 'n Chips Scratch and Win, she originally thought she had won just $1,000, but it was much more than that.

"I was running around trying to find my glasses," she explained in a news release today (Nov. 29).

"I thought it said $1,000 and I woke up my roommate so that he could make sure it was real."

Once she realized that her prize had a few more zero's attached to it, Bissonette called her son to share the news and went to Vancouver Island to celebrate with him.

Bissonette says her first plan is skydiving. She also wants to buy a new car and plans to spend some of the money on her grandchildren

"This win will give me more free time to spend on the island with my kids and grandkids," she added.

"I've always dreamt of spending money on them if I ever won big."

Bissonette bought her ticket from Shell on Canoe Pass Way in Tsawwassen.
