The 17th annual North Shore Writers Festival takes place April 15-16 at North Vancouver District Public Library’s Lynn Valley location (1277 Lynn Valley Rd.). The three North Shore library systems are proud to present another fantastic lineup at this year’s festival, with returning events like the Literary Trivia Quiz and a feature session on self-publishing.
Over the two-day event, festival goers can delight in chatting with other local literary lovers, enjoy informative workshops, see presentations from Canadian literary stars, and, of course, compete for glory in the Literary Trivia Quiz.
Headlining this year’s festivities are local Nisga’a writer Jordan Abel; beloved comic creator of For Better or for Worse Lynn Johnston; and author of the best-selling memoir This is Happy, Camilla Gibb. The event lineup is bolstered with the session How to Become a Successful Indi Author with best-selling indie author Martin Crosbie and North Shore Writers Association members Rod Baker and Diana Stevan.
Grant Lawrence returns to host the Literary Trivia Quiz, and JJ Lee joins the lineup in conversation with Gibb, in addition to being an MC and host. To cap it all off, attendees will enjoy a free opening reception featuring music, free appetizers, tempting refreshments, and delightful conversation with fellow festival goers. All sessions are free but make sure to arrive early to secure seating.
