North Van students "run" across Canada in virtual Kilometre Club

When schools closed down in March, these seven Deep Cove kids (five pictured above) between the ages of four and eight set a goal to “run” across Canada virtually.

From the week of March 28 to Labour Day weekend, kids in the Sherwood Park Elementary Kilometre Club achieved their goal and then some, together covering a cumulative total of 4,952 kilometres.

While they each ran separately during the weeks it took to achieve this goal, on Sept. 9 the group got together for their first official run as one unit in order to celebrate their accomplishment.
