The study could also help expand the program to other rec centres within the North Shore, as so far the services have been mostly limited to Harry Jerome.
While there's been some continuation of more informal tours in Farsi since the grant money ran out in 2010, as well as the videos and resource materials online, Rogers said they are currently short of multi-lingual volunteers to act as hosts.
"We're continuing to look for the opportunity of it if the right volunteers come along," she said, but still emphasizing the parts that are still available. "It's got a sustainable legacy around tools and around the experience."
