HAVE you ever felt jealous of Black Friday sales in the U.S.?
Well, there's no need to fight border lineups or wait until Boxing Day this year, as West Vancouver is launching its first annual Super Sale Red Friday on Nov. 18.
The West Vancouver Chamber of Commerce and the West Vancouver Business Association are inviting all local businesses to participate in the event by offering a discount of any kind to customers. Retailers who are interested can contact the West Vancouver Chamber of Commerce to receive a promotional red banner to hang in their storefronts.
The initiative is an effort to encourage people to shop locally. Eventually, the hope is that it will take off across the country.
