North Shore Taxi (1966) Ltd., will pick up the tab for anyone casting their ballot on the North Shore today.
A press release from the company notes drivers will provide rides to polling stations in the District of West Vancouver, District of North Vancouver, and the City of North Vancouver until polls close at 7 p.m. local time.
Please note that drivers cannot wait for passengers while they cast their ballots but customers can call dispatch lines at 604-987-7171 or 604-922-2222 or use the account code # “7171 ELECTION 2015” (special one day only account code) when using the North Shore Taxi smartphone app to book their trip (when booking the trip using the app write “Charge to 7171 ELECTION 2015”in the field labelled: Additional Info For Driver, the drivers will then fill out the appropriate charge slip and get the customer to sign acknowledging that they have taken the trip to go out and vote today).
Due to licence restrictions drivers cannot provide rides to polling stations outside the North Shore.
