North Vancouver City Library's Teen Photo Contest and Gala: This year's theme is The Unseen Shore. Until May 7, teens in grades 6-12 are invited to email the library a single photo in which they have captured "places or things you may miss on the North Shore." A panel of experts will evaluate the submissions and the shortlisted entries will be displayed throughout the library. The winners will be announced at a gala on Saturday, May 26. Info: www.nvcl.ca.

Hospice Easter Event: The North Shore Hospice will hold an Easter egg hunt Saturday, April 7, 1-4 p.m. at 319 East 14th St., North Vancouver. Baskets will be available for $5 each, which children can decorate and then participate in the hunt. The event is to create memories for children who have a loved one in the palliative program or who have lost someone close to them at the hospice.

Tina and Ted: The North Shore Theatre for Children will present an environmentally friendly fairy tale on reducing, reusing and recycling April 7, 2: 30 p.m. and April 30, 10 a.m. at Presentation House Theatre, 333 Chesterfield Ave., North Vancouver.
