Metro Vancouverites should brace for some wet weather this weekend.
V.I.A.'s Downtown Centre Weatherhood station shows a high of 23 C and a low of 13 C on Friday, May 30, with a mix and cloud (see slide two).
Environment Canada meteorologist Bobby Sekhon told V.I.A. in a previous interview that a ridge of high pressure would bring warmer temperatures to the region on Friday, but it would break down overnight. A cooler trough is expected to replace it, bringing temperatures down several degrees on Saturday.
The downtown area is expected to see a high 16 C and a low of 12 C with rainfall amounts totalling around 9 mm. Langley is expected to see the same daytime high and rainfall accumulation.
Other areas are expected to see slightly warmer weather with less rain, such as Burnaby West with a 19 C high and 7 mm of precipitation, and Coquitlam Centre with a high of 17 C and 8 mm of precipitation.
Deep Cove is expected to see a high of 17 C and 11 mm of precipitation, Surrey City Centre will see the same daytime high but only 7 mm of precipiation.
