Gregg Evjen joined KF Aerospace in 1989 as a junior engineer.
On Sept. 1, he will become the Kelowna aviation company’s president.
Tracy Medve, who had been KF Aerospace's president and CEO, now has the new title of CEO of KF Capital Ltd., the umbrella organization overseeing KF Aerospace and the company’s other business divisions and strategic initiatives.
“Gregg’s decades of operational expertise, proven leadership and commitment to KF make him exceptionally well-suited to lead KF Aerospace into the future,” Medve said in a press release.
Evjen held several roles at the company, including engineering manager and director, and maintenance and engineering vice-president, before assuming the role of chief operating officer in 2021.
Evjen has played a key role in the company’s evolution, leading hundreds of engineering projects and regulatory approvals, including the Convair CV5800 stretch program, multiple freighter conversions and modification programs across nearly every major aircraft type in KF’s operations.
He currently serves on Air Transport Association of Canada’s board of directors and has received the organization’s lifetime achievement award.
