Water views and lush forests are clearly a big draw on the North Shore, as Indian Arm is the most searched-for neighbourhood by North Shore home hunters, a new infographic by property website REW reveals.

The data analysts at REW also found that North Shore property seekers have healthy budgets, as the most popular home search in the area is a four-bedroom house in the $2-2.5 million range.

The graphic also looks at North Shore home sales and listings in the first six months of the year, compared with the same period in 2017. Echoing the board’s official stats, it reveals condo sale prices are considerably higher than a year ago (averaging $822,936 across Q1 and Q2), but detached home sale prices slid year-over-year to $2,295,944.

What’s even more interesting is that sellers clearly haven’t adjusted their price expectations accordingly, with the average single-family listing price higher than in 2017 (a whopping $3,799,257 in 2018's first six months).
