Despite some hopes that the whole thing was a not-so-funny April Fool’s joke, a number of services recently went up in price for British Columbians. Rate hikes on a number of essentials started on Tuesday. One such jump in cost was ferry fares. The regular fares will be going up four per cent, though seniors will be hit the hardest, losing their Monday to Thursday free walk-on perk.
