On Saturday, June 17, the SeaBus celebrated its 40th birthday.
Its maiden voyage on June 17, 1977, was the start of a special link connecting Vancouver and the North Shore, a draw for tourists and locals looking to take in stunning views of Burrard Inlet and the city.
For some, the SeaBus might be just another mode of transit. For others, it’s their ride home after a night out. Either way, people have their thoughts on these vessels that have racked up more than 100 million boardings over the years.
