Moderate weather has culled some of the wildfires that have been scorching the B.C. Interior for the past week, helping firefighters reduce the number to less than 200.
But high winds predicted for this Saturday raise concerns of flare-ups. It can be hard for North Shore folk to imagine wildfires – like the ones that have driven more than 14,000 people from their homes –happening here.
