The B.C. NDP made moves last week to ease the burden by removing tolls on the Port Mann and Golden Ears bridges.

For twice-daily commuters, this could mean savings of more than $1,000 per year. While many are thrilled at bridge-users not having to dole out money for daily tolls, others might gruff at the idea of the taxpayer now being even more on the line for paying off the bridges.
