The gall of the missing asterisk

Dear Editor: In the Nov. 11 North Shore News survey of candidates, you did not identify me as an incumbent with an asterisk as you did for all of the other sitting councillors. This is misleading and I would like a correction printed.

Dear Editor:

In the Nov. 11 North Shore News survey of candidates, you did not identify me as an incumbent with an asterisk as you did for all of the other sitting councillors. This is misleading and I would like a correction printed.

I also want to state my strenuous objection to being lumped in with all of the other councillors on the Harry Jerome redevelopment issue. My record has been absolutely consistent that the complex must be built new and we cannot narrow our options by giving entitlements to particular groups (the lawn bowlers or the Norseman field users). Yet in Benjamin Alldritt's Nov. 6 column on the issue, I was lumped in with the rest of the council that Alldritt criticized for not acting responsibly on the issue. This misrepresents my voting record.

Guy Heywood, councillor, City of North Vancouver (Editor's note: We apologize for the missing asterisk - although the same candidate survey noted Coun. Heywood had three years experience on council.)
