Dear Editor:
The true spirit of Christmas warmed my heart when Thrifty Foods in North Vancouver leapt into action regarding my request for a donation of 20 turkeys for First United Church Community Ministry Society’s Christmas lunch on the Downtown Eastside.
Given the shortage of turkeys this year, I was amazed and thrilled at their speedy effort to help our most vulnerable community. Special thanks to manager Mike Hardy for continuing this tradition of giving each year for over a decade!
