Oh, the places they’ll party. Last Friday, North Vancouver RCMP and Metro Vancouver caught wind of a “Hike Rave” event organized to ascend Mount Seymour.
On Facebook, up to 300 people had indicated they might attend the unpermitted event. This is in the wake of a group of around 800 hikers who climbed the mountain to ring in Canada Day without permission.
Should large hiking groups without a permit be barred entry because of safety concerns or should we let them have their fun?
