Send not to know for whom the bridge is tolled

Dear Editor:

Once again we see the mayor of Surrey, Dianne Watts, on the news calling for all bridges in the Lower Mainland to be tolled to help pay for the new Port Mann Bridge. While the residents of Surrey enjoy an eight lane bridge, a widened highway and direct access to SkyTrain, we on the North Shore sit in gridlock with our two ancient bridges, two-lane highway and inadequate transit.

Surrey needs to find its own way to raise more money if it wants lower tolls. Do they want to pay for our new water treatment plant? I'll bet not.
