Self-serving Stephenson no Green party member

Dear Editor:

You published a letter May 8 to the editor from Jim Stephenson (Green Vote a Dilemma for Some). In it, he claimed to be a "green person," and endorsed Craig Keating as "environmentally enlightened." I'm sure people in Moodyville who have traded views of eagle's nests for a massive coal pile under his watch agree! Some of Keating's supporters are actually supporting him to get him off of council for this very reason.

Stephenson was a one-time candidate in West Vancouver Sea-to-Sky, and has not been a member of the Green Party of British Columbia for some time. Andrew Weaver, who in his letter he claims to support, had this to say of him, "I have no idea who Jim Stephenson is."

Stephenson is just doing what he does best, looking out for the political interests of Jim Stephenson.

The NDP is desperate for votes, because they have run an incredibly ineffective campaign provincially, they have not told people what they are going to do if elected, and they are aggressively targeting Green supporters.
