Dear Editor:

A big deep thank you goes to all the crews who worked tirelessly in the pelting rain from 10 a.m. through to 4 a.m. on Sunday to restore the power on behalf of the residents of Lower Cedardale and Park Royal north. At approximately 10 a.m. a large cedar tree crashed down in the 300-block of Keith Road severing a telephone pole in two and taking out three transformers. The mess of power lines both on Keith Road and on Taylor Way stopped traffic and pedestrian movement for many hours. The crews involved in the restoration and clean up included: policemen, firemen, BC Hydro, Rokstad Power Lines, Asplundh Tree Service and a flagging company.

All the residents who were affected by this power failure would like to extend a deep thank-you for restoring our power and for the cleanup. We greatly appreciate your services.
