No shelter from the WV storm

Dear Editor:

Mark Sager's idea to promote the Harmony Arts Festival through the bus shelters is a great idea. The only challenge is the fact that, every single one of the "new" bus shelters - leaks. All of them! Ironically, the only shelter I have found that doesn't leak, is the one at 14th Street and Marine Drive, which was not replaced. The new shelters were poorly designed as well. Having a steel pole in the middle cuts off part of the seating area and reduces the standing space. Although the "wing" design is a unique piece of art, it does little to prevent the wind and rain from howling in and getting everyone wet and cold. Promoting the festival through the shelters: good idea. Waiting until there is at least a 99 per cent chance that it won't rain while the posters are installed: better idea.
